Hefazat leader Junayed Al Quashemi arrested
Hefazat-e-Islam leader Junayed Al Quashemi was arrested for his alleged involvement with Brahmanbaria mayhem centering oppose of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bangladesh visit.
Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police arrested him from Brahmanbaria on Saturday (May 1).
CID sources said Junayed Al Quashemi is the son of secretary general of newly defunct Hefazat-e-Islam, a party based on religion.
Senior ASP of CID Jisanul Haque said arrested Junayed Al Quashemi was involved with Brahmanbaria anarchy.
