Hefajat-e-Islam placed four-point demands to the Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal at a meeting with the minister at his Dhanmondi residence in the capital on Tuesday (May 4) night.

A delegation comprising ten leaders and activists of the religion based party were present during the four-hour long meeting.

Hefajat's four-point demands are...immediate release of arrested Hefajat men across the country centering movement, relief from arrest panic to the Hefajat leaders, withdraw cases after discussion filed in 2013 against Hefajat leaders and activists and opening of Kawmi madrasas as soon as possible.

After the meeting, secretary general of Hefajat convener committee Nurul Islam Jehadi said, "We have placed our four-point demand to the home minister in written. He listened to our speech and assured us to meet our demands."
