Hasanul Haque Inu, a former information minister and leader of the Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), said the program was aimed at strengthening the security of the minority community and bringing to justice communal attacks in different parts of the country. It is not an instantaneous event of excitement. They wanted to provoke Hindu-Muslim communal riots. But the riot was not possible due to the intervention of the Muslim community and law enforcement forces in Bangladesh.

He said that the incident that happened in this puja should not be repeated, it should be prevented. Identifying the inaction of the communal employees hiding inside the administration, it is necessary to investigate and tried in the court of ustice. In order to build a non-communal Bangladesh, the country needs a non-communal administration and a political party.

Gano Forum leader Subrata Chowdhury said, "We are upset and outraged over the communal attacks that have taken place across the country." The present government does business by talking about the spirit of the liberation war. Constitutionally the state religion is Islam, again the state is called secular and this is extreme hypocrisy. The state cannot run trough bluffing the people.

Neem Chandra Bhowmik, acting president of Bangladesh Hindu-Buddhist-Christian Unity Parishad presided over the mass gathering and hunger strike program.
