Irregularities everywhere, but a little more in the hilly areas: Chief Adviser
Irregularities everywhere, but a little more in the hilly areas. If there is a difference with the plains, it must be removed, said Chief Adviser to the interim government Dr. Muhammad Yunus.
He said these things while joining the discussion meeting organized at the Chattogram Hill Tracts Complex on Bailey Road in the capital on Wednesday (December 11) on the occasion of International Mountain Day, virtually from Jamuna.
He said, the forest and natural resources and opportunities that exist in the Chattogram Hill Tracts are not found anywhere else in Bangladesh. It is supposed to be the most developed place in Bangladesh, but the opposite has happened. This is unacceptable. We want to know how irregularities can be reduced. Special attention needs to be paid to technology and education. That is how work is being done.
The Chief Adviser said, next month there will be a youth festival, let it be a festival for everyone. I want to see the hilly districts stay up here in this festival. We will do it as always, this time it will be for the first time. We will do this festival with enthusiasm ourselves. This is an opportunity to prove that the youth of the hilly areas are not behind other youth.
He also said, if there is any difficulty, let me know, I will try to remove it. We also want to change the country; we also want to change the world with our work.
The Chief Adviser said, 'The country's education system is in a difficult crisis. It is even more difficult in your region. Teachers are suffering, students are suffering. You have to focus on your studies. We will also try to do what can be done from the state side. It cannot be allowed that the youth of the hilly districts will lag behind the big cities in education because they are in remote areas. They have to move forward in education.'
