Rajshahi College should be made a university, not Titumir: Education Adviser

Education and Planning Adviser Dr. Wahiduddin Mahmud has commented that Rajshahi College should be made a university, not Titumir College.

He said this while talking to reporters after the ECNEC meeting on Sunday (February 2) afternoon.

He said, there is no opportunity to give any special privileges to Titumir College. At this moment, I think Rajshahi College should be made a university because it is the oldest college in Bangladesh.

Stating that many students of Titumir College want to return to class, he said, they do not want public suffering. Keeping the issue of public suffering in mind, students should return to class.

He said, seven colleges and Dhaka University do not want each other. Therefore, an initiative has been taken to make seven colleges a separate university. A committee is working for this. However, it is not desirable to set a time limit for implementing the demand.
