BSF takes away a Bangladeshi at Naogaon border

The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) took away a Bangladeshi named Sirajul Islam (42) from the Sapahar border in Naogaon.

The BSF picked him from 44/1 S Pillar on the Adatola border in the upazila and from the Nairkuri area inside India around 3 am on Wednesday (February 5).

The arrested Sirajul Islam is the son of Osman Ali of Uttar Patari village in the upazila.

Confirming the arrest, the wife of the arrested Sirajul, Ezela Khatun, said that her husband Sirajul had gone to India with some locals on Tuesday night. Although everyone returned in the morning, Sirajul did not return. We have confirmed the arrest of her husband from those who have returned.

Locals said that on Tuesday night, some Bangladeshis crossed the border to bring cows into India. At around 3 am, while they were entering Bangladesh with cows through the 44/1 S-pillar area, they were chased by the patrolling BSF camp of Nairkuri in Tapan police station of Dakshin Dinajpur district, India. At that time, while others escaped, Sirajul Islam was caught by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF). In this regard, Naogaon Battalion 16 BGB Commander Lt. Col. Sadiqur Rahman said that they are not aware of any information whether any Bangladeshi has been detained by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF).
