JS speaker stresses on the role of the youth in nation building
Speaker of Jatiyo Sangsad (JS) Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdury told that,’ the young generation is the biggest strength for the development of the country. For this purpose the merit, creativity and skill of the youth must be utilized for the development of the country.’
Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury told all these in a prize distribution function organized by Junior Chamber International(JCI) held at Hotel Radisson Blue on Wednesday (Sept.18). She called upon the youth to get involved in the development process of the country.
Speaker said that under the dynamic and visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Bangladesh is moving ahead with unstoppable speed. Due to the steps and continuous endeavors of the government the GDP has reached 8 percent and the rate poverty has reduced to 21 percent from 40 percent.
Speaker further said that JCI is a global platform of the young entrepreneurs. This practice of offering prizes every year will inspire the young generation, she said.
She called upon the JCI members to come forward to build the dream of Bangabandhu’s ‘Sonar Bangla.’
Among others Deputy Minister for Education Mahibul Hassan Chowdhury, Dr. Ashraful Haque Siam, Nusrat Faria received prizes in the function from the Speaker.
Among others Deputy Minister for Water Resources Enamul Haque Shamim, Sabnam Jahan MP, FBCCI leaders and JCI members were present in the function.
Chief Whip of JS Nure Alam Chowdhury Liton and FBCCI president Sheikh Fazle Fahim addressed the function as the guest of honor and special guest respectively.
