Hasina–Modi meeting on Saturday

From New Delhi: The formal visit to India by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is beginning on Saturday (Oct.5) through a bi-lateral meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narnedra Modi. On that occasion there will be inauguration of some projects and signing of a number of Memorandum of Understandings(MoUs) will take place.

Though at the invitation of Narnedra Modi Sheikh Hasina has come to New Delhi on Thursday (Oct.3) the first two days were spent for India Economic Summit organized World Economic Forum.

On Saturday morning Indian foreign minister Dr. S. Jaishnakar will call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Prime Minister’s current residence at Hotel Tajmahal. Next she will go to Hyderabad house where Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasnia and Indian PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate some important projects through video conferencing at 11 A.M. At 1 P.M. she will take part in a lunch hosted by Indian PM Narnedra Modi. After the lunch she will sign the inspection book at Hyderabad house.

Next Sheikh Hasina will move to President House to hold meeting with Indian President Ramnath Kovin at 4-30 afternoon. In late afternoon she will take part in Tagore peace award conferring function. However the venue is not yet known where the Bangladesh PM will be awarded Tagore peace award.

Next day on Oct. 6 at 9 morning minent Indian film maker Shyam Benegal will call on PM at hotel Tajmahal. Indian Congress chief Sonia Gandhi will meet Sheikh Hasina at the same place of residing during her India visit.

Through these hectic programs Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will wrap up her four day India visit. She will leave New Delhi and fly for home at 8 P.M. by a VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh (BG + 2033) along with her entourage. After becoming Prime Minister for the consecutive third time this is her first Delhi visit.
