Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader has urged Krishak League leaders and activists to help clean-image people to come to the top leadership of the ruling party’s associate organisation.

“Play a role in bringing clean-image people to the leadership of Krishak League, in keeping with the ongoing anti-corruption purge,” he said at the 10th council of Kirshak League.

Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has facilitated clean-image leadership through the anti-corruption campaign.

Describing the Awami League government the most agriculture-friendly in the last 44 years, he said “Sheikh Hasina is the most honest person, popular politician, prudent leader, skilled administrator and successful diplomat.”

The proceedings of the two-day Krishal League council began around 11:10am with the presence of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as the chief guest.

The prime minister hoisted the national flag and released pigeons and balloons to inaugurate the council when the national anthem was played.
