The insolvent freedom fighters of the country will get houses free of cost. About 14 thousand insolvent freedom fighters will get houses.
This was discussed in the meeting of the parliamentary standing committee meeting held on Sunday(Dec.1) at the JS chaired by Shajahan Khan MP. The meeting was attended by Liberation War affairs minister AKM Mojammel Haque, Rajiuddin Ahmed, Major(Rtd) Rafiqul Islam(BU) and AB Tajul Islam.
In the meting it was disclosed that a project to build houses for the insolvent freedom fighters at an estimated cost of Taka 22000 crore. It will cost about Taka 15 lakh for building one house. The honorable Prime Minister will inaugurate this project in connection with ‘Mujib Year’ as a token of presentation to the freedom fighters.
Besides, there was a detailed discussion about Gulistan Shopping complex, drafting laws and by-laws of JAMUKA, making lists of the Razakars, Al-badars and anti-liberation elements.
In the meeting the secretary of the Liberation War affairs ministry, officials of concerned ministry and officials of Jatiyo Sangsad were present.
