There is a rural proverb that the tigers of the forest even shiver in cold of Magh. The situation now prevailing across the country reminded that proverb very correctly when millions are shivering during last three days. However, the latest Met bulletin has brightened the faces of the people.

The current spell of cold weather may improve on Sunday with the visibility of sun according to a source of Bangladesh Meteorological department (BMD).

Meanwhile, the met department, in its morning forecast, said weather may remain dry with partly cloudy sky over the country.

Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country during midnight to morning, it said adding that night and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.

The lowest temperature was recorded at 10.1 degrees Celsius in Faridpur today (Saturday), while the highest was 26.6 degrees Celsius in Teknaf, the met office said.

Yesterday, the lowest temperature was recorded at 8.4 degrees Celsius in Chuadanga, while it was 7.9 degrees Celsius in the same district on Thursday.
