Expulsion rule in PEC examination abrogated
Rule 11 of the student expulsion in Primary Examination Completion(PEC) has been abolished.
Additional Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education Sohel Ahmed told the court on Wednesday (Jan. 15)morning.
The High Court bench comprising of Justice M. Enayetur Rahim and Justice Md. Mostafizur Rahman was given this information.
Deputy Attorney General Amit Talukder was present in the court in favor of the state while lawyer Jamiul Haque Faisal brought the matter to the notice of the court.
Earlier, Additional Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education Sohail Ahmed appeared in a court summon. The court then said, "If our orders were implemented, you would not have to come to court." His lawyer Shafiq Mahmud told the court that "the directions given by the High Court have been implemented."
The court asked Shafiq Mahmood, “Has the relevant rule regarding expulsion of students been abrogated? We issued a rule to repeal that rule. "
Later, the Deputy Attorney General Amit Talukder told the court, "The Ministry has canceled the relevant rule." The High Court then ordered the disposal of the rule issued in the case.
