1013 local poll observers in upcoming city elections
The upcoming Dhaka North and Dhaka South City Corporation elections will be monitored by 1013 observers from 22 organizations.
Of these, there will be 503 observers in Dhaka North City Corporation and 457 observers in Dhaka South City Corporation will monitor. And centrally there will be 53 observers.
Election Commission’s Public Relations Director Moha. Israel Hossain informed that 1013 observers of 22 registered organizations have been given approval to observe the vote.
Among the 22 observer organizations approved are – Jatiyo Nirbachan Porjyabekkhkhan Parishad, SAARC Human Rights Foundation, SDAP, Karmayan, Forum for Development Association, Social Development Initiative, Bangladesh Human Rights Coordination Council-BAMASAP, Bibi Asia Foundation, Development Organization of the Rural Poor-Dorp. Aini Shahaytaa Kendr(ASK) Foundation.
Also included in the approved list are: Rupnagar Education Health Assistance Foundation (REHAF), Youth for Human Rights International Foundation, grassroots development organization, human rights and social development organization, Association for Social Development of Bangladesh, Human Rights Disability and Development, Move Foundation, Lutfar Rahman Bhuiya Foundation. Peace and Development Organization, Bangladesh Human Rights Implementation Association, Institute for Environment and Development and Coast Trust.
