International Customs day 2020 inaugurated

National Board of Revenue (NBR) Chairman Abu Hena Md. Rahmatul Munim inaugurated country wide ‘International Customs Day 2020.

Pigeons, the symbol of peace and balloons were released in front of the NBR on Sunday (Jan. 26) in the morning.

A rally was brought in connection with the observance from the NBR building. The rally ended at the National Revenue Board building premises after parading the Kakrail Mosque-Matsya Bhavan-Shilpakala Academy-ACC offices crossing the Rajamani Cinema Hall. The actors and actresses also participated in the rally like previous times.

Meanwhile, a seminar has been arranged at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) Navratri Hall in the afternoon on the occasion of International Customs Day.

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal will be the chief guest at the seminar. Prime Minister's Economic Affairs Advisor Dr Mashiur Rahman, Minister for local government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, Tajul Islam, Commerce Ministry Minister Tipu Munshi, Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance Ministry Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali and FBCCI president Sheikh Fazle Fahim will be present as special guests.

NBR Chairman Abu Hena Md. Rahmatul Munim will preside the seminar.
