Amphan may be dangerous if its epicenter get changed
Ampan, a very strong cyclone originated in the Bay of Bengal, is moving towards Bangladesh at a speed of 15-20 km per hour. Within 65 km of the cyclone center, the maximum wind speed is 210 km per hour, which is increasing to 220 km in the form of gusty winds. It can hit at a speed of 140-160 kilometers per hour.

Meteorologist Bazlur Rashid told Barta24.com that the epicenter of the powerful cyclone Ampan was in the Sundarbans part of the Bangladesh-West Bengal border. If the focal point does not change, the Amphan’s loss will be less. However, the focus of the strike is likely to change. If it hits any part of the country other than the Sundarbans, there is a risk of extensive damage. It is estimated that Amphan will have a speed of 140-160 kmph when it hits the ground.
He added that heavy rains with gusty winds are likely to occur in the coastal areas at this time. The temperature may be slightly lower. However, it will be very hot.
A special notification from the Meteorological Office said that the local warning signal No. 4 has been lowered at Mongla and Payra seaports and the danger signal No. 6 has been asked to be hoisted instead. Coastal districts Satkhira, Khulna, Bagerhat, Jhalokati, Pirojpur, Barguna, Patuakhali, Bhola, Barisal, Laxmipur, Chandpur, Noakhali, Feni, Chittagong and their outlying islands and chars will be under danger signal number 7.
Chittagong and Cox's Bazar seaports have been asked to lower the local warning signal No. 4 and hoist the danger signal No. 6 instead. The coastal districts of Laxmipur, Chandpur, Noakhali, Feni, Chittagong and their outlying islands and chars will be under danger signal number 7.

Cyclone Amphan was located 1045 km south-southwest of Chittagong seaport, 990 km south-southwest of Cox's Bazar seaport, 955 km south-southwest of Mongla seaport and 940 km south-southwest of Payra seaport. It may become more concentrated and move northwest. And then change direction and move north-northeast through the area between Khulna and Chittagong and cross the coast of Bangladesh between late night on Tuesday (May 19) and Wednesday (May 20) afternoon or evening.
According to several international cyclone forecasting websites, the maximum sustained wind speed at the cyclone center is 241 kilometers per hour, increasing to 298 kilometers per hour in the form of gusts or gusty winds. However, its speed may change as it moves towards the ground. The cyclone will pass through the middle of Khulna Chittagong by next Wednesday (May 20). At this time its speed can be 180 to 200 kilometers per hour.
