Dhaka: There has been a bloody war, thirty lakh martyrs have given their lives, millions of mothers and sisters have been dishonored, we have not got that liberation yet. Therefore, the struggle for liberation is not over yet, said Jatiya Party Chairman GM Quader MP.

He made the remarks at a discussion meeting and cultural program on the occasion of Victory Day at the Banani office auditorium of JP on Sunday (December 19) afternoon.

GM Quader said, "We got independence, territory and flag but we were not emancipated." The struggle for liberation has to start again, this time the struggle for liberation may be more difficult. The liberation struggle may require more sacrifices, more bloodshed.

"We have been the victims of exploitation, discrimination, deprivation and torture since the British rule," he said. Since the creation of Pakistan, West Pakistanis have started discriminating against us. They had started looting our resources. They made the Bengalis second and third class citizens. The struggle for our liberation was in protest. We have been liberated but not yet liberated. After 1991, Awami League and BNP have repeatedly come to power and started discriminating against the people of the country. If anybody is not connected with Awami League or BNP even if they have qualifications, they will not be able to get jobs. According to an international media report, 4 lakh crore takas have been smuggled out from Bangladesh in the last 6 years. Apart from this, there is no calculation of how many hundreds of crores of takas have been smuggled.

He said the ruling party has created a terrible atmosphere in the Union Parishad elections. Attacks on rival candidates and house-to-house arson have become common. The Jatiya Party candidates are not allowed to contest. There is no security of human life, no security of food and employment. People are dying on the streets every day, as if no one is watching.

He added that no one knows who operates the public transport. It is understood that the government has no hand in the management of public transport. But, sometimes it seems, those who run public transport run the government. Government parties occasionally take to the streets to have fun. At this time lakhs of people are suffering endlessly, sick patients cannot go to the hospital. Later, a regret was expressed by the ruling party, as if it was the most important thing for them to have fun.

Jatiya Party Secretary General Mujibul Haque Chunnu MP said, "We do not support the corruption and misrule of Awami League, but we have no disagreement about Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman." We have been harmed by one sided love with Awami League. Therefore, Jatiyo Party will go ahead with the politics of fulfilling the expectations of the people with its own program in future.

Jatiya Party co-chairman ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader said, "We have not forgotten which party treated Hussain Muhammad Ershad." Those who call Ershad a dictator should look at themselves in the mirror.

Among others, Syed Abu Hossain Babla, Presidium member MM Abdul Mannan, Mir Abdus Sabur Asud, Advocate Md. Rezaul Islam Bhuiyan, valiant freedom fighter Abdus Sattar Mia, member of the advisory council Sherifa Quader MP, Engineer. Sirajul Haque, Vice Chairman Jahangir Alam Pathan, Joint Secretary General Golam Mohammad Raju, Women's Party Member Secretary Hena Khan Panni, Jatiya Swechcha Sebak Party General Secretary Md. Belal Hossain, Member Secretary of Jatiyo Juba Sanghati Ahad U Chowdhury Shaheen, Vice-President of Jatiya Chhatra Samaj Shah Imran Ripon also spoke on the occasion.

Foreign Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud said that few leaders of BNP are often seen holding press conferences who toe the line with the government. The ravens of politics go where they can find power. If you talk too much, I will expose everything to them.

He said these things at a discussion meeting at the National Press Club on the occasion of Bangabandhu's 104th birthday on Friday (March 22).

The minister said that many leaders of BNP have records of misdeeds; If you talk more, they will be exposed.

This leader of Awami League said, 'The political forces that are against freedom are conspiring to take the next generation behind them. Individuals were joined with political evil. They take the prize by presenting it to the outside world as a poor country. Dr. Yunus is not seen on the side of people in floods and disasters. His interest is only in lobbying and getting awards.

He said that his case is going on in the court. Meanwhile, I saw that he received an award at the Baku conference. His lobbyist firm contacts all kinds of awards in the world.

The minister said that they are conspiring by failing to resist the election. The dream that Tarek Rahman would fly by ‘Borak’ and stand by BNP did not materialize. BNP has lost the dream of turning the country into a failed state. People of the country should learn if they try to do politics of burning people.

BNP Standing Committee Member Dr. Abdul Moin Khan commented that the present government has destroyed the electoral system of the country and added that their only goal is to stay in power not to serve the people.

He said these things while meeting at the house of Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kajal and Barrister Osman Chowdhury in Dhanmondi of the capital on Wednesday (March 20) morning.

Moin Khan said when a one-party government is established in the country, the situation will be the same as now. The government has axed the administration and judiciary to retain power. In each case the election has destroyed the system. The government is disconnected from the people.

Alleging that the government is consuming not only politics, but everything in the society, he said, they are afraid of losing power. Awami League's only goal is not to serve the people, but to stay in power.

In response to a question about BNP’s Vice Chairman Major (Retd) Hafiz Uddin, Moin Khan said that the more such incidents are published, the more the government is getting degraded. It is clear how the government wanted to bring the opposition parties under control before the elections. All their strategies failed.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that following the recent statements of Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader and Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud, almost all the ministers are getting drunk on Bharat Bandana. From their speech and behavior it seems that Bangladesh has now become a satellite state of India.

He said this at a press conference organized at the central office of BNP in Nayapaltan of the capital on Wednesday (March 20).

Rizvi said, they are giving loud speeches by giving direct cooperation and acknowledgment of neighboring India in their efforts to take away people's voting rights, kill democracy and get immortality of illegal power without voting.

He said, the frank confession of Obaidul Quader and Hasan Mahmud proves that India is directly interfering with our freedom, sovereignty, democracy, human rights, voting rights in direct violation of Article 2 (4) of the UN Charter. Article 2 (4) states, "In international relations all Member States shall refrain from the use of force, intimidation against the territorial integrity or political independence of any other State, and from adopting any means inconsistent with the purposes of the United Nations". It is clear from the words of Awami League leaders that India is interfering in the politics of Bangladesh by violating this policy.

The Senior Joint Secretary General of BNP said that the wave of boycott of Indian products is visible on social media; it seems that the large population of the country has taken a strong stand in favor of boycott of Indian products. It is evident that 63 pro-democracy parties including BNP as a people's party and patriotic people are expressing solidarity in this movement of boycott of Indian products.

He said, India is openly aiding and abetting the mass oppressor-murderer-mafia government. Awami League has now become an Indian product which is contrary to the interests and dignity of an independent sovereign state.
