Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has called all the opposition political parties to come down on the streets in a one-point movement.

He said, "Today, big-small-medium parties are not a big deal. It is not a big deal whether it is BNP or civic unity, or mass solidarity movement, or democracy munch. Our country, our people are in danger today. It is our responsibility to protect their existence. We all have to come forward with that responsibility.'

"Let's go down our streets democratically and peacefully. From whence we shall utter in loud voices and no more a single demand, Go thru. Enough is enough. Now please let go and arrange to create a people's state, a people's parliament, a people's society.'

I have repeatedly said that otherwise you will not find a way to escape. Actually, you won't get it. In the past, you will see that the dictators did not find a way to escape' warned the BNP Secretary General.

Mirza Fakhrul said, "Today there are young people in this Saki (Jonayed Saki) party and there are many young people who have come forward. I wish from the bottom of my heart that they should be more widespread, their organization should be bigger and they should go among the masses. Let them wake up the people. I sincerely want to build a society without exploitation in the true sense.'

I believe that is not possible without a democratic system. Now is the time for us to establish that democracy. There is no time to delay.'

He said, 'Today that time has come. We have to unite the people.'

"I am very happy, for the first time today those of us who are here, and those who are outside, we are all united, with one demand that the government should resign. Parliament should be dissolved and power should be transferred to a non-partisan neutral government. A new election commission should be formed and the people's government should be established with new elections.'

BNP Secretary General also pointed out the revenge of the government for not allowing the ill Khaleda Zia to receive advanced treatment.

On the occasion of the 21st founding anniversary of the mass solidarity movement, this discussion meeting titled '31 points of the struggle for democracy and new political settlement' was held in the auditorium of the Dhaka Reporters Unity office in Segun Bagicha.

Jatiya Party leader(Kazi Zafar) Mustafa Jamal Haider, Syed Muhammad Ibrahim of Kalyan Party, Nagrik Oikya President Mahmudur Rahman Manna, Coordinator of Gana Sanghati Andolon Jonaid Saki, Saiful Haque of Biplobi Workers Party of Bangladesh, Subrata Chowdhury of Gano Forum spoke in the discussion meeting.
