BNP’s mass rally, Awami League’s peace rally in Dhaka
Like-minded parties and alliances including BNP will hold a mass rally in the capital on Saturday as part of a simultaneous movement to demand the resignation of the government. On the other hand, the ruling party Awami League will hold a peace rally in the capital against creating anarchy in the country in the name of movement.
A peace rally will be held in front of the central office of Awami League at Bangabandhu Avenue at 3 pm on the initiative of Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League. Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader will be the chief guest. Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League President Abu Ahmed Mannafi will preside. Some central leaders of Awami League will address the rally.
Special instructions have been given to the Awami League leaders of each police station and ward in Dhaka Metropolitan South to make the peace rally a success. The activists will join the rally with a procession.
Meanwhile, Dhaka Metropolitan North and South BNP will take out two mass processions at 2 pm. One mass procession will start from in front of Rampura Better Life Hospital and proceed to Nayapaltan via Malibagh Abul Hotel, Mouchak, Shantinagar, Kakrail, the other will start from Kamalapur railway station and reach Nayapaltan via Pirjungi Mazar, Arambagh, Fakirapool intersection.
Later, BNP will hold a rally in front of the party office.
At 4 pm Ganatantra Mancha at National Press Club, 12 Party Alliance Vijaynagar Water Tank, Nationalist Samamana Jote Alraji Complex in Vijaynagar, Gano Forum-People's Party Gano Forum Chattar near Notre Dame College Arambagh, LDP party office near Karwan Bazar, Gana Adhikar Parishad (Nur) at Fakirapool Culvert Road The party office, Gano Adhikar Parishad (Reza Kibria) will take out a mass procession in front of the National Press Club.
At 10:30 AM, the Labor Party National Press Club and Democratic Left Alliance will hold a mass rally in front of Segunbagicha School. NDM will hold a press conference at the Photojournalists Association at 12:30 PM instead of a mass rally.
Since the announcement of a one point demand movement on July 12, like-minded parties and alliances including BNP have organized marches, mass gatherings, sit-ins at the entrance of the capital, mass marches and black flag marches in the capital.
