Although the qualifications and qualities needed to manage the organization were absent, nothing stood in the way of him becoming the president.
The leaders and workers of the university branch Chhattra League were disappointed with such a person as the president, but they hoped that Rubel would change after getting a big responsibility. He may retain the honor of the post. But that hope is crushed. Rather, Rubel became more reckless after taking the top position of BCL. Sometimes spending the night in a residential hotel with women, sometimes trampling with subordinate leaders and workers, sometimes lying in the hall room indecently, taking screenshots of women students sending suggestive text messages to women abusers from going viral - Rubel has repeatedly been associated with controversies. Due to these activities, once close leaders and workers also left Rubel and he became alone. At one point he was 'out' from the campus. Later, he returned to the campus secretly, but he had to be assaulted by the leaders and workers of his side.
Due to various incidents, several parties of BCL have been involved in one after another clashes in the campus for the last three days. In the meantime, due to the publication of the news, Rubel's followers attacked Prothom Alo University stringer Mosharraf Hossain on Sunday (September 24). After this, in view of the events of the last few days, the Central Committee of the Chhattra League announced the dissolution of the University Branch Committee. This shows the excitement among the leaders and workers of the BCL grassroots.
Meanwhile, Rezaul Haque Rubel gave a 'farewell message' on his Facebook at six in the evening after announcing the dissolution of the committee. Sharing the notification of the cancellation of the committee signed by Central Chhattra League President Saddam Hossain and General Secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Inan, Rubel wrote, 'We will meet again in a new place. Good luck to all. You will look at the mistakes of the path of forgiveness with a nice vision. Jai Bangla, Jai Bangabandhu.'' Rubel's words written in the farewell message are making new jokes. Because, the general secretary of the dissolved committee, Iqbal Hossain Tipu, wrote the same thing on his Facebook at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Many people are making fun of this 'copy paste' of Rubel.
Under Rubel's post, Ariful Islam Arif, the organizing secretary of the dissolved committee, wrote, 'He could not write the last text himself. That too had to be copied!

Rezaul Haque was admitted to the Statistics department of the university in the academic year 2006-07. After that he completed graduation in 2010 and post graduation in 2013.
As per University ordinance, students must complete graduation within six academic years. And post graduation within two academic years. That is, a student can stay in the campus for a maximum of eight years. But Rezaul has been in the campus for almost 17 years.
On July 14, 2019, Rezaul got the responsibility of the president of the university branch Chhattra League. But his studentship ended 6 years ago. According to the constitution of the organization, the term of this post is one year but he was the president for about 4 years. In these four years, Rubel has repeatedly been involved in controversy
On July 17 last year, a student was sexually assaulted and beaten up by five youths on the campus. Five youths tied up and undressed the victim student and recorded a video on the mobile phone. Azim Hossain is the main accused in this incident. He was a follower of Rezaul. Azim has been permanently expelled from the university in this incident.
According to the oppressed student, Rezaul tried to hide the incident to save Azim. Rezaul discouraged him from filing a complaint and filing a case with the proctor's office. This was then published in various media.
Before this debate was over, a picture of Rezaul was criticized all over the country on March 20. In the picture, Rezaul is seen lying on the bed in the hall room and looking at the phone. Shamim Azad and Shafiul Islam, two leaders of the branch Chhattra League, are pressing his feet sitting on either side. Rezaul claimed that the two leaders were 'serving' him as he was ill. After that, on June 1, there was an allegation against Rezaul of cutting and injuring Deputy Office Secretary Ramzan Hossain. A phone conversation of Rezaul about being involved in this incident went viral on social media. At the same time, a personal photo of Rubel lying naked in his hall room also went viral on Facebook. Earlier, on November 5, 2020, Rubel had come under widespread criticism across the country for spending the night in a residential hotel on Agrabad Sheikh Mujib Road in the city with a young woman. When the video of him entering the hotel with the woman went viral on social media, Rubel dismissed it as a propaganda.
Rubel finally has to leave the campus after 17 years as the committee was abolished. But even during that goodbye, he became a source of laughter by copying and pasting.
