If necessary we will contest in 300 seats: Bangabir Kader Siddiqui
Bir Uttam Bangabir Abdul Kader Siddiqui, founder president of Krishak Sramik Janata League, said that if necessary, we will contest in 300 seats in the upcoming elections. BNP will not participate; my ‘gamcha’ will choose people. Boat symbol owners think that if they get elected, they will pass. No more, if you get a boat, you will not pass. Now there are ‘gamcha’ and plough. So what if there is a sheaf of paddy? The pineapple will contest with the symbol; the bird will contest with the symbol. Anyone who wants to contest, no one will be ignored, people will vote for whomever they want.
He said these things at a public meeting of the Upazila Krsishak Sramik Janata League at the Dariapur Sahabuddin Ahmed High School grounds of Tangail's Sakhipur Upazila on Friday (October 13) afternoon.
Kader Siddiqui said, who won and who didn't win the election is not a big deal. Sheikh Hasina has been told that we want voters at the centre. If hundreds, thousands of voters go to the center and vote, then there is no concern about who is present and who is not present in the election.
For BNP, he said, sheaf of paddy owners do not want Bangladesh. They think that Ziaur Rahman was the president of Bangladesh, he is only the leader. But I cannot accept Ziaur Rahman as a leader, my leader is Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. I fought at his call. I accept Ziaur Rahman as long as his leader Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. If Ziaur Rahman is the leader-Sheikh Mujib is nothing, then Ziaur Rahman is also nothing to me.
Convener of Upazila Krishak Sramik Janata League Abdus Sabur Mia spoke under the chairmanship of Krishak Sramik Janata League Central Committee General Secretary Bir Pratik Habibur Rahman Talukdar Khoka, District Krishak Sramik Janata League Acting General Secretary Salek Hitlu, Sakhipur Pourashava former Mayor Sanwar Hossain Sajib and others.
