BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has urged people not to create a haze by talking about reforms.
On Tuesday (February 4), he laid a wreath at the tomb of party founder Ziaur Rahman along with the leaders of the newly formed Manikganj district BNP convening committee. He then made this appeal to journalists.
He said that the interim government's responsibility is to create an environment for elections and conduct fair and speedy voting. Elections must be held as soon as possible, otherwise panic will be created in the minds of the people. Care should also be taken that the path of democracy is not obstructed.
The BNP leader said that the decision to increase gas prices is against the people. People are suffering. If the prices of gas and goods continue to increase, people will lose their breath.
What is BNP's thinking about Awami League in the current situation? In response to the question, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said that Awami League is still doing terrorist acts. Whether they can do politics or not is a matter of national decision.
