Faridpur people saw a different type of birthday celebration on Friday (Sept.20) here at the Badarpur residence of former minister Engineer Khondoker Mosharraf Hossain MP when thousands of people thronged to greet their much favorite senior politician on his 79th birthday who brought an enormous reforms in all sectors during last ten years. It may be mentioned here that Kh. Mosharraf is the president of the Standing Committee on of LGRD, Rural development and Cooperatives in the Jatiyo Sangsad.
People from all sectors right from farmers, politicians and government employees, representatives of the people, journalists, women, students, teachers, doctors, laborers and many others came to say ‘happy birthday to you Kh. Mosharraf’.
All came with flower bouquets and presented him wishing long and safe life.
There was hour long together traffic jam on the part of Dhaka- Khulna highway passing in front of his residence located in the suburb of the town when people from nook and corner of the district and also from the capital city rushed there.
In his brief speech to the thousands of visitors Kh. Mosharraf expressed his heartfelt gratitude that they have shown to him on this day. He sought blessings of all to carry on his development agenda in the rest part of his life.
Among others Habib-e-Millat MP from Sirajganj-2 who happens to be the elder son in law of Kh.Mosharraf, Kh. Moosaharraf’s daughter Sarita Millat, Kh. Ishtiaque Hossain Maruf, younger brother of Kh. Mosharraf , Jubo League district convener AHM Fuad, district Awami League president Advocate Subal Chandra Saha and senior journalist Prof. Md. Shahjahan and Awami League leader Advocate Animesh Roy wished Kh. Mosharraf long and active life urging him to contribute more for the development of Faridpur. A big size cake was cut by Kh. Mosharraf in thunderous applause of the guests.
Faridpur Press Club president Imtiaz Hassan Rubel, club secretary Hasanuzzaman and senior club member Prof. Md. Shahjahan greeted Kh. Mosharraf presenting a flower bouquet on behalf of Faridpur Press Club. Later on the guests were entertained with cake and sweets.
