Argentine newspapers have given a very bad news. Football superstar Diego Maradona has died.

The Brazilian media also reported this bad news. According to Argentina's Clarin newspaper, Maradona has died in the capital, Buenos Aires. Maradona was taken to hospital a few days ago with a physical illness.

Maradona won the World Cup for Argentina in 1986. The 70-year-old football superstar died of a heart attack on Wednesday (November 26). He was considered the best footballer in the world. Maradona, who started his football career for Argentina Juniors, played for the club from 1976 to 1981. He then played for various clubs in Europe.

Maradona led Argentina to the 1986 World Cup. Maradona won the World Cup for Argentina with a great performance in that World Cup held in Mexico. In America World Cup in 1994 he was expelled for drug use. After retiring from football, Maradona became involved in coaching.
