K Z Islam passes away

Former president of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Kamal Ziaul Islam passed away at his house on Monday afternoon.

He was 86. BCB confirmed his death news to the media.

Kamal Ziaul Islam popularly known as K Z Islam was the pioneer of Nirman School Cricket and Chairman of Nirman International.

He served BCB during the 1981-1982 season as general secretary and 1983-1987 as board president.

His school cricket was so much popular at that time and some national team players including Aminul Islam Bulbul, Khaled Mahmud Sujan, Javed Omar Belim Golla and Meherab Hossain Junior have played at the national team from school cricket.
