However, Sri Lanka was supposed to host the tournament this year. But they canceled the tournament due to Corona's attack. That means the Asia Cup will not be held either.

Ashley de Silva, chief executive of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), said: "Due to the current Corona situation, it is not possible to hold the tournament in June this year."

However, Ashley de Silva could not confirm when the tournament will take place. He only said that the Asia Cup is not likely to take place before the 2023 ODI World Cup.
