Bangladesh records first ever T20 win against Australia

Visiting Australian cricket team lost to Bangladesh by 23 runs in the first T20. The visitors were bowled out for 108 runs. This is the first time the Tigers have won a Twenty20 match against Australia.

Nasum Ahmed spread the light with the ball in the slow wicket. He showed his spin magic. After a career bowling performance in the T20s, the host brought down the Australian batting line-up.

Mehedi Hasan sent back Alex Carey with zero runs. Nasum Ahmed returned Josh Philippe to the dressing room for 9 runs. Moyes Henriques was dismissed for 1 by Shakib Al Hasan.

In the end, Mitchell Marsh took the helm of Australia's batting line-up. However, he could not touch the fifth dream. He made his way to the dressing room after playing an innings of 45 off 45 balls with four boundaries and a six. Captain Matthew Wade added 13 runs. Left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed took 4 wickets for 19 runs.

Earlier, Bangladesh threw a target of 132 runs in front of Australia to win. Batting first, Captain Mahmudullah's team scored 131 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

The Tigers did not have a good start after batting against Australia. The team lost the first wicket for 15 runs and the second wicket for 37 runs. Saumya Sarkar (2) and Mohammad Naeem (30) went back.

Fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman and spinner Nasum Ahmed returned to the XI. However, Taskin Ahmed and Mohammad Saifuddin were left out. Another spinner Mehedi Hasan took the place.

Andrew Tie was on the Australian pace attack with Josh Hazelwood and Mitchell Starc. Ashton Agar was Adam Jumper's partner in the spin.
