Shakib Al Hasan's father Masroor Reza has contracted coronavirus. On Sunday, July 19 at noon Magura Sadar Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Abdus Salam confirmed this information to Barta24.

Dr. Salam said, ‘Last Friday, Shakib’s father Masroor Reza gave samples for testing for coronavirus. Today, Sunday (July 19), his report came positive. He is living in isolation at home. His house at Keshab Junction in Magura has been locked down as extra security.

Cricketer Shakib Al Hasan is now in New York with his wife and two daughters. Shakib has been in New York since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.

Although Shakib's father is positive for coronavirus, his physical condition is quite good, said Sadar Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer. Dr. Salam was saying- ‘Masroor Razor is in very good physical condition. He does not need to be treated at the hospital now. Even then, we are keeping him in regular follow-up. '

The coronavirus situation in Magura district is still under control, said Dr. Salam said as of July 19, 310 people had been infected with the coronavirus in the district. Seven people died.
