If the political reform is not done properly, the economic reform is not possible, said the Governor of Bangladesh Bank Dr. Ahsan H. Mansoor.
He said these things in a press conference at Bangladesh Bank on Wednesday (August 28) at noon.
Urging the depositors to be patient, the governor said, we are trying so that the depositors get every penny. If everyone goes together, no one will get money. Don't just pick up what you don't pick up. Go one by one.
He said, we are trying our best to normalize the banking sector. So far no depositor has lost his money in Bangladesh. Any past mistakes will be resolved seamlessly.
He said that an initiative has been taken to commission the bank to reform the banking sector. But it will be done effectively, not just. In this case, foreign cooperation will be taken. The experience of how different countries including Sri Lanka have worked will be taken.
Governor Dr. Ahsan H. Mansoor said that the price of goods will decrease in the next two to three months, it cannot be said now. For this reason, efforts are being made to keep the exchange rate fairly stable.
