To promote science practice among the school students, `BigganUtshob - Science Festival’ held in Rangpur today, following the events of Dhaka and Chattogram. Students of different schools from Rangpur division have participated in today’s event. The prime focus of this science festival is to spread the practice of science among the students through innovative projects, questions and answers, lectures by scientists, robot expositions, science magic, orientation with various science books and so on.
The country’s largest mobile financial service provider, bKash and Biggan Chinta, a leading science related monthly publication jointly organized the Science Festival at Rangpur Zilla School today. Various projects were presented group-wise by the students. After today’s event in Rangpur, it will be arranged in other divisional cities also. The grand final will be held in Dhaka at the last stage.
Today’s science fest was inaugurated by A.R. Mizanur Rahman, Principal of Rangpur Zilla School. Humayun Kabir, Head of Regulatory & Corporate Affairs of bKash; Abdul Gaffar, Sub-editor of Biggan Chinta; Tuhin Wadud, Lecturer of Begum Rokeya University; Rezaul Karim, trainer of Rangpur Govt. Teachers’ Training College and Shompa Rani, teacher of Rangpur Zilla School were present at the event.
Among the exhibited projects, top ten have been selected for next round through competition. Before the event started, registration was completed and after proper judgment the winning projects have been selected to exhibit. From the quiz session and also from projects, many students have been awarded.
Praising the brilliant students of Rangpur, Humayun Kabir, Head of Regulatory & Corporate Affairs of bKash, said that the program has successfully ignited a spirit of scientific thinking and injected the love for science in the students’ minds. Some outstanding projects have been presented by the young talents which will enhance the confidence of the students. bKash is proud to be a significant part of such a program.
