Dhaka: Russia has launched coronavirus vaccination program with their own product. The vaccination program started at the Moscow clinic in the capital. The country's most vulnerable hospitals in Corona are using their own vaccines.

In August this year, Russia registered the Corona vaccine 'Sputnik-5' made by the pharmaceutical company Gamalea Research Center. This vaccine is being administered.

On November 24, the Gamalea Research Center reported that the Russian-made corona vaccine Sputnik-5 was 95 percent effective. These results were obtained after extensive testing. The vaccine did not cause any major side effects.

It is unknown at this time how many vaccines they will manufacture. However, thousands of Russians have already registered to take the first of the two doses. However, the vaccine manufacturer said it would be able to supply 20 lakh doses by the end of the year.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobayinin said the vaccination program would begin earlier this week. He said the vaccination program would include those working in schools, healthcare and social workers on a priority basis. The list will be expanded if more vaccines are available after that.

An online registration service is offering free appointment bookings to citizens between the ages of 18 and 60 through 70 sites. This facility is available from 8 am to 8 pm.

The BBC reports that those who have had an injection at least 30 days ago and have been suffering from shortness of breath for two weeks have been excluded from the vaccination program. In addition, some long-term illnesses and pregnant mothers are not being vaccinated.

Each person will receive two doses. Another dose will be given 21 days after the first.

Asked if a woman who had been vaccinated was "concerned", she told the BBC: "Everything has to start somewhere. Everyone who came to get the vaccine said they were taking the dose of the vaccine voluntarily.

"I am taking it voluntarily," Moscow resident Igor Krivobok told Reuters because it is important for me to get this vaccine to prevent infection.

The Sputnik-5 corona vaccine can be stored at 2 to 8 degree Celsius. The Russian vaccine company claims that Sputnik-5 will be available in the international market for less than 10 dollars per dose. The rule is to take two doses of this vaccine to prevent corona. Russia says the vaccine will be provided free of charge to its own people.

So far, 24 lakh 31 thousand people have been infected with coronavirus in Russia. 42,684 people died. On Saturday, 28,782 people got infected fresh.
