West African leaders are planning a military intervention in Niger to overthrow an army coup installed government and restore an elected government. In such a situation, the junta government of Niger has sought the cooperation of Russian mercenary supply company Wagner.

Qatar-based media Al-Jazeera reported that West African leaders have given Niger's ousted president Mohamed Bajom an ultimatum to be reinstated by Sunday (today). For this reason, they threatened military intervention in Niger if necessary. Among them, there was news of the Junta government seeking help from Wagner.
