Various parts of the Hawaiian Islands of the United States are burning in a terrible fire. Six people were killed and many others injured in wildfires in ocean-surrounded Maui.

Maui County Mayor Richard Missen confirmed the six deaths. At least 20 people were also injured, including a firefighter. He also said that the condition of the three injured persons is critical.
According to the BBC report, thousands of people have lost power in Hawaii due to the terrible fires. Mobile service has also been stopped. Due to which rescue operations are being disrupted.
Officials said the rescue operation is continuing. However, they warned that the number of dead may increase.
The local media is comparing the fires in Hawaii with the apocalypse. The city of Lahaina was severely damaged by this fire. Many people have fled their homes. Many of them are staying at sea.
At least seven wildfires have broken out in different parts of Hawaii, the BBC reported. The Lahaina region of Maui, the second largest island, is also burning.
According to information provided by the US Coast Guard, several people who jumped into the sea to escape the fire were rescued.
It has been reported that the fires have become dangerous and powerful under the influence of Hurricane Dora. Local authorities said heavy winds hampered firefighting efforts by helicopters.
Hawaii State Governor Lt. Sylvia Luke said it will take a month to assess the extent of the fire's damage.
