Amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has gone on a two-day visit to the Middle East, the UK administration said. He will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israeli President Isaac Herzog on Thursday (October 19) morning.

Sunak is scheduled to visit several other countries in the Middle East during the two-day tour.
The UK administration said it will mourn the loss of life in Israel and Gaza as a result of the brutal terrorist attacks by Hamas. Also request that humanitarian aid be opened to Gaza. It will also discuss the safe exit of trapped British nationals from Palestine.
Earlier on Wednesday, the President of the United States, Joe Biden, spoke on the phone with the President of Egypt. The country then announced the opening of Egypt's Rafah border to allow humanitarian aid to reach Gaza.
