A US woman and her daughter have been freed by the Palestinian independence armed group Hamas in Gaza, Palestine.
The country's prime minister's office confirmed this information in a statement when the American woman and her daughter arrived in Israel after being released on Friday (October 20).
Palestinian independence group Hamas said they were released to disprove the US President Joe Biden administration's fascist comments about Hamas.
Meanwhile, Hamas issued a statement on its Telegram channel before releasing the American woman and her daughter. It said the Al-Qassam Brigades released two US citizens on humanitarian grounds through Qatar's efforts to prove to the world that the claims of Biden and his fascist administration are false and baseless.
The mother and daughter who were freed from the hostages are Yehudit and Natalie Shoshana Ranan. They were captured by Hamas on October 7.
