Two Bangladeshis death sentence executed in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia has executed two Bangladeshi expatriates for killing an Indian citizen in the southwestern city of Jijan.

According to a report of Gulf News, their death sentence was executed on the orders of the Royal Court of Saudi Arabia. However, the published report did not reveal the time of the killing and the identity of the victims.

It is known that the murder took place due to a financial dispute with an Indian citizen. In this incident, the accused two Bangladeshi expatriates took the car to an empty place in Jijan city and killed the Indian citizen by suffocation. They applied pesticides on his face to cover up the crime. They also buried his body.

As the guilt of both Bangladeshis was proven beyond doubt in the final judgment of the court of appeal and the Supreme Court, their death sentence was executed.

Lawyers for the accused appealed the court's verdict to the Supreme Court of Saudi Arabia. Later, the Royal Court of Saudi Arabia upheld their final sentence.
