Omar, 60, said he was forced to flee Burj with at least 35 members of his family in the face of Israeli attacks.

Tom White, the UN aid agency's Gaza director, said more people were being pushed into the southern Gaza city of Rafah.

Many of them spend their days in extremely inhumane conditions in makeshift tents in the Rafah area on the Egyptian border, south of Gaza. The war began on October 7 with an unprecedented cross-border attack by Hamas gunmen in southern Israel. So that 1200 Israelis were killed. Most of them were civilians and about 240 people were taken hostage.
