Hezbollah fired missiles at Israeli forces in retaliation for the killing of Saleh al-Arouri, the deputy head of the politburo of the Palestinian armed group Hamas.

On Tuesday (January 2), Israel killed 4 people, including two commanders of the Saleh Al-Arouri and Al-Qassem Brigades, in a drone attack on a building in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. Lebanon's powerful armed group Hezbollah threatened revenge and "punishment" after the attack.

Reuters news agency quoted Hezbollah as saying that missiles were fired at Israeli forces in the Marz area occupied by Israel. Following the killing of Saleh al-Arouri, they promised to take revenge quickly.

However, Hezbollah did not give any details about the missile attack. Besides, nothing has been reported yet about the attack on the soldiers by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF).

However, the Israeli media The Times of Israel reported in a report that two soldiers of an army post in Manera were slightly injured by Hezbollah's anti-tank missiles.

After the killing of Saleh al-Arouri, there are fears that the Hamas-Israel war could now spread to Lebanon.

When the war started three months ago, there were fears that it could turn into a regional war. This fear has intensified after the killing of the deputy head of Hamas.
