Different countries around the world celebrate International Father's Day, International Mother's Day or International Children's Day, but Thailand celebrates National Father's Day, Mother's Day and National Children's Day. On National Children's Day, the whole country will have a festive atmosphere. All institutions have various activities for children.
National Children's Day is observed on the second Saturday of January every year on the way, children's clothes of different colors and styles, toys in their hands, walking around holding their parents' hands, watching movies, the whole day is children's.
I first saw National Children's Day in Thailand. Bangkok has become a festival city. But since the locals' day here ends at 6 pm, the activities around children also end by afternoon.
National Children's Day has been celebrated in Thailand since 1956. From super shops close to home like 7-Eleven, local flea markets, luxury shopping malls, cinema halls or armed forces grounds, there are various events and gifts for children everywhere. The elders of the family distribute the gifts among the children. Wears new clothes and joins the festival.
Like every year, Prime Minister Shretha Thavisin announced the theme of the day. This year's theme is 'Seeing Broadly, Thinking Constructively, Respecting Differences and Engaging in Democracy.' Various activities of the day are mainly arranged for education and entertainment of children through constructive sports.
Various events started in different places of the country including Bangkok from early morning. A children's festival gathers at the grounds of the Royal Thai Air Force at Don Muang Airport. The entire area is like a fair. We also go to be part of the children's festival.
The Royal Thai Air Force's fighter jets enthrall all ages at the end, there was a vote of thanks by flying colors. Children get a chance to explore various weapons, equipment and combat vehicles of the Air Force. Free snacks and toys are distributed here for children.
From Air Force Ground we go to Ratchayothin Avenue Shopping Mall. On the ground floor of the mall, various activities including gaming cart, language competition, Lego, coloring have been organized for children. And there are hands full of gifts.
On this day, special movie screenings for children were held in cinema halls for free. There were also special gifts everywhere from the food stalls.
