Dhaka: India’s Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that peace will come to West Bengal only if infiltration from Bangladesh stops.
He said that peace in West Bengal and India is being disturbed due to illegal infiltration from Bangladesh. Peace in West Bengal will prevail only when this infiltration is completely stopped.
He said this while inaugurating the newly constructed passenger terminal building and a cargo gate called ‘Maitri Dwar’ at Petrapole, the largest land port on the India-Bangladesh border, on Sunday (October 27).
India’s Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that if the BJP comes to power in West Bengal in 2026, infiltration into India through the India-Bangladesh border will be completely stopped. Peace will come only if infiltration stops.
He said that partnerships in the business and cultural sectors will be increased with neighboring countries like Nepal, Bangladesh and Myanmar. In terms of progress, it may be possible to implement several initiatives.
He said that the Land Port Authority of India (LPAI) will play a big role in establishing peace in this region. When there is no legal movement across the border, people come and go illegally. And when the way for illegal movement of people is opened, it disrupts the peace of West Bengal and the whole of India. At this time, Amit Shah said that Narendra Modi is determined to work for the prosperity of West Bengal. Bengal will become 'Sonar Bangla' and the BJP will leave no stone unturned in its efforts to ensure development here.
