Modi will invite Imran to visit India

The Modi government will invite Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan to visit India. Imran Khan will be invited to the Shanghai Co-operation Organization summit, the Indian central government has said.

The report was released on Thursday (Jan. 16) by Indian news media NDTV. According to the report, the Indian government has said that 8 SCO countries and 4 observers will be invited to the conference.

India's foreign ministry spokesman Ravish Kumar on Thursday said, "India will host the Shanghai Co-operation Organization summit this year. Eight countries and four observers will be invited to the conference. Other international members will also be invited.

It should be noted that the SCO is an eight-member economic and security block led by China. India and Pakistan were included in 2017. It was founded in 2001 with China, Kazakhstan, the Republic of Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

In June last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Imran Khan attended a conference in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan. At that conference, Modi said that all the members of the SCO must move together to curb terrorism.
