A Bangladeshi expatriate in Italy died of the fatal coronavirus (Covid-19).
The 55 year old man died while undergoing treatment at Milan's Nigoyara Hospital on Friday (March 20) at 8 pm local time.
It is learnt that the man identified as Golam Mawla, was admitted to Nigoyara Hospital in Milan, Italy 15 days ago. There he was diagnosed with coronavirus. He died there after struggling with the virus in the hospital.
It is reported that his wife also has been infected from corona disease. The whole family has been kept in home quarantine. He left one son and one daughter at the time of his death.
The body of the Bangladeshi has been kept at Nigoyara Hospital morgue in Milan. No decision has yet been taken on how and when the body will be handed over to the relatives.
His native home is in Noakhali. He was a resident of Milan, an Italian commercial city. The man was suffering from a variety of physical illnesses including shortness of breath for a long time.
