The Meteorological Department has forecast dry weather across the country with temporary partly cloudy sky. In addition, moderate to heavy fog may fall in some parts of the river basin of the country from midnight to morning and light to moderate fog in other parts of the country.

The Meteorological Department said in a forecast for the next 24 hours at 6pm on Tuesday (December 22).

According to the forecast, the temperature has risen slightly in the last two days after the onset of cold snap in several parts of the country. But since Tuesday night the temperature has started to drop again. Besides, cold wave may sweep across the country again from next Friday or Saturday.

According to the Meteorological Department, mild cold wave is prevailing over Gopalganj, Comilla, Rajarhat in Gaibandha and Chuadanga areas and may continue. Night and day temperatures may remain unchanged.

According to the meteorological office, the extension of the subcontinental high zone is located in West Bengal and adjoining areas. Seasonal light pressure is located in the Bay of Bengal. As a result, the weather can be mainly dry.

The lowest temperature recorded in the country on Tuesday was 7.1 degrees Celsius in Tentulia, which was 7.5 degrees in Tentulia yesterday. Meanwhile, in Dhaka yesterday it was 14, today it was 1.2 degrees less than 12.7, in Mymensingh it was 10.7, today it was 10.4, in Chittagong it was 13.1, today it was a little more 13.8, in Sylhet it was 11.6, today it is 14.0. In Rajshahi it was 11.2, today it was 12, in Rangpur it was 12.4, today in Khulna it was 11.4, today it was 12.2 and in Barisal it was 10.5, today it was 10.4 degrees Celsius.
