Twenty lakh doses of Corona virus vaccine will arrive from India on Wednesday, January 20.
The cost of Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine will be given to Bangladesh as a gift by the Government of India.
This vaccine is being developed at the Serum Institute in India. On Monday evening, the Director General of the Dirctor General of Health, Prof. Abul Basar Mohammad Khurshid Alam told the media that the Indian government has sent a letter to the Bangladesh government regarding the gift of vaccines. He said the letter called for 20 lakh vaccines for Oxford-AstraZeneca. This vaccine is supposed to come on the January 20.
However Health Minister Zahid Malek on Sunday at DRU also mentioned about the without specifying quantity of doses.
