Flights to Bahrain and Kuwait will be resumed from Sunday (April 25).
The decision was taken at an inter-ministerial meeting on Thursday (April 22) night.
State Minister for Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism were present in the meeting chaired by the Foreign Minister.
The meeting was told that a significant number of expatriate workers from Bahrain and Kuwait have been trapped. Their visas are likely to expire. Therefore, from April 25, commercial flights on the Kuwait and Bahrain routes will be allowed to operate.
