Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said people are taking coronavirus to their dear ones at village homes risking their lives in danger.
Sheikh Hasina said, "You never know from where you have been infected with coronavirus. You may be infected from the bus, launch, ferry. You are going to families and relatives with coronavirus risking their lives in danger. Stay there, where you are residing now. Celebrate Eid as your wish."
The prime minister said this while distributing plots of Purbachal New Town among 1,440 people through video conference from her official residence Ganobhaban on Sunday (May 9).
Urging the countrymen to wear masks, Sheikh Hasina said, "You all should take care yourselves. Because, Corona's new variant is more dangerous than previous variants which are now in the country. People infected with the new variant are facing death. So, be careful about you and save others lives."
She also urged the people to pray to Allah to get a cure from coronavirus as many people are dying of Covid-19 across the country.
Terming Purbachal is a planned town, Sheikh Hasina said, by handing over plots she feels relief now.
