So far, Bangladesh has not entered into any agreement with China's Sinopharm on vaccine.

Huang Yan, China's deputy chief of mission in Dhaka, said in a post of his verified Facebook page on Saturday (June 5).

He said in his Facebook post that so far there has been no agreement with Bangladesh on the vaccine. Second, it is not a Chinese government, but a business agreement between Sinopharm and Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, China is giving six lakh vaccines of Sinofarm as a gift to Bangladesh in the second phase which is said to come to Bangladesh by June 13.

International relations analysts and public health experts said Bangladesh has repeatedly stumbled upon vaccine imports due to the incompetence of the Health Ministry and diplomatic failure.

Vaccination talks with Chinese company Sinofarm to address the corona crisis began several months ago. In the midst of the Bangladesh-China vaccination diplomacy process, Li Jiming, the country's ambassador to Bangladesh, claimed that Bangladesh was late in buying the vaccine due to its inability to make quick decisions and delays.

Then in the process of vaccination comes an undisclosed agreement. For this, a kind of demand form signed in place of writing in Chinese language was later reduced and various administrative weaknesses in the Ministry of Health also came to the fore.

In violation of the terms of the undisclosed agreement, Additional Secretary to the Cabinet division Shahida Akhter said that Sinofarm has agreed to give Bangladesh 1.5 crore corona vaccine at 10 dollar per dose.

The Chinese expressed anger. Later, Bangladesh had to apologize to China.
