Health Minister Zahid Maleque has said that 10 crore doses vaccines will arrive in Bangladesh by next December to prevent coronavirus. Through this we will be able to vaccinate 5 crore people in the country.

"I am happy to say today that we have received 12 lakh vaccines from the United States," he said. After a few hours I will get another 13 lakh vaccines. These are Moderna vaccines. We started vaccinate the people speedily. But we didn't get the desired quantity of vaccine in the middle. There was a little problem here.

Health Minister Zahid Maleque made the remarks at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Friday (July 2).

Earlier, at 11:20 pm, Emirates Airlines' EK-584 flight with 12 lakh Moderna vaccines landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. The Minister of Health, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the US Ambassador were present in front of Terminal 2 next to the VIP Lounge.

He said 10 crore doses of vaccines will come to our country within December. 5 crore people can be vaccinated. The United States is a very friendly country. We also export the most to the United States. This cooperation was needed in these difficult times.
