On account of seven-day strict lockdown announced by the government, less number of people have come out on Friday due to the weekly holiday, moreover, people have been under house arrest due to torrential rains since morning. Even then, those who went out in case of emergency have also returned home quickly due to the rain.

On the other hand, members of the law enforcement agencies have been seen on duty in the rain-soaked roads since morning to prevent them from going out by violating the law. Since the beginning of the lockdown, members of the army have been working in the field along with the police in creating awareness. In the afternoon, members of the army were also seen to be active.

On the spot, at the Shahbagh intersection in the capital, an army team was seen setting up check posts for road users and interrogating them to find out the reason for their exit. Some people are advising people to be aware of corona prevention. The check post, which lasted for about half an hour, did not see any punishment for anyone passing by. They have persuaded pedestrians to raise awareness instead of punishment.

At the Shahbagh intersection, the members of the army stood on three roads divided into three parts. Every moving vehicle is asked to stop and exit. At this time, some people were found walking without masks. They were turned away because they could not show a logical reason to go out.

Major Hasan Chowdhury was in charge of this army team. He told Barta24.com that a group of army members led by me has been working on Corona Awareness since this morning. Before coming to Shahbag, we came here after patrolling in Tejgaon, Hatirjheel, Ramna and many other places. We are going to all these places where there are public gatherings.

He said the movement of common people in alleys is more than the main road. However, this time people are less likely to leave the house than last time.

The people have accepted the decision of the government spontaneously. Less is going out of the house following the instructions. Even then, those who do not obey the violators are being brought under the law through executive magistrates and the police. '

Major Hasan said that the general public has a positive attitude towards the lockdown.

It may be mentioned that in the notification issued by the cabinet division, it has been said that all government and private offices, vehicles and shops will be closed. The government has said that if you go out without urgent need at this time, you will face severe punishment.
