The European Union has expressed concern over Bangladesh's Digital Security Act (DSA). Bangladesh did not care to it, said Foreign Minister Dr. AK Abdul Momen.

He was responding to a reporter's question about the EU's concerns over the DSA after a ceremony at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Thursday (October 28).

The Foreign Minister said, "Who said what, what is ours." They will chat a lot of the time. But we will do what we need for our welfare.

"We object to any of them," he said. When the Prime Minister decided to subsidize food self-sufficiency, foreigners objected a lot. The World Bank and the IMF, along with our big friends, said you can't. One year the IMF did not allow us to raise FDI. But look, now we are self-sufficient in food.

"Speaking of the Padma Bridge, the World Bank got angry with us," he added. What a mess. Before giving the money, he said, there is a rehearsal of theft going on here. The Prime Minister ignored it and showed them the results.

Earlier, the fourth diplomatic consultation meeting between Bangladesh and the European Union was held in Brussels on Tuesday. A joint statement issued at the end of the meeting said, the EU expressed concern over Bangladesh's digital security law. The coalition said that although the law was supposed to prevent digital crime, some sections of the law were being used for other purposes.

Later, however, Bangladesh made its own statement on the issue.
