Corona vaccination in Community Clinics from today

Corona vaccination at Community clinics across the country will start from Saturday. This special activity of vaccination will continue till 12th November. This was stated by the Directorate of Health at a virtual press conference held on Friday evening.

Dr. Shamsul Haque, member secretary of the health directorate's corona vaccination management committee, said there are now about 13,000 community clinics in the country. Each clinic is targeted to vaccinate an average of 500 people between November 5 and 12. Sinopharm vaccines will be given at community clinics.

Prior to this special campaign, two more campaigns were organized by the Directorate of Health. The first dose of the first campaign was given on 7 August. The second dose was given on 7 September. The first dose of the second campaign was given on 28 and 29 September. The second dose was given on 28 and 30 October.

Community clinics have been set up in rural areas. Community Health Care Providers (CHCPs) play a key role in the clinics. He is assisted by two field workers from Health and the field worker of Family Planning. Every CHCP uses a laptop or tab.

In response to a question, Dr. Shamsul Haque said that CHCPs have information about the people of the area. They will help people in the area to register for the corona vaccine.
